As
a photographer and educator, Lee lived in New York City, for over
20 years studying and working. Her photographs have successfully
promoted the products of such national and international corporations
as SamSung Electronics, Bloomingdales, Macy's and Toys 'R' Us. Several
feature articles about Lee's visual experiences of the world around
her have appeared in
Korean Cosmopolitan,
Photo Art,
Kodak Yearly Selection, and other prominent international publications. She also has had numerous exhibits of her
photographs in India, Japan, Korea and the USA.
Lee now lives in Seoul, Korea and is promoting Korean traditional
culture and heritage worldwide. As a result of her research, KoArt
Puzzle, a reflection of Korea's cultural heritage, is in
production. Presently, Lee is teaching at the Kaywon School of
Arts and Design and at KukMin University in Seoul.
This book is an attempt to present a very important piece of
Korea's rich cultural heritage. Through Lee's refined photographic
eye, more than 400 color film and digital camera photographs beautifully
illustrate the wealth of the delicate colors, textures, and forms
found in Korean temple architecture, paintings, and temple foods.
Lee has generously donated excerpts from her book to AsiaFood.org,
a resource of the Asia Society.
