Spice Market










You may have missed out on an invitation to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Week after-party, or the release party for Janet Jackson's new album, but why let that stop you from joining the masses and making your own reservation at Spice Market; Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Gray Kunz' new joint venture, bringing Asian street food to the high-flying New York City diner. (That's you, right?) OK, so you do have to brave the aroma of the Meatpacking district- but hey, that's no worse than venturing into a real Asian street market!

Meanwhile, heated debate rages over the food itself, with The NY Times' Amanda Hesser awarding the restaurant a full three stars, but detractors pointing out that Hesser's a little too chummy with 'ol J-G to be truly objective. Only one way to find out though, and you're unquestionably in for an atmospheric dining experience. All seem to agree the stunning outfitting of this 12,000 square foot restaurant makes for a meal to remember.

Spice Market is open for lunch and dinner weekdays, and for brunch and dinner weekends.
